The Antari AG-800 and AG-1500 air disinfection fog machines are lightweight and portable (mains powered) devices. They spread vapourised ‘disinfecting fog’ to fill an entire space in every direction.
Developed as a specialised fogging treatment for infection control and sanitation of both residential and commercial settings, it is more effective than wiping with rags or sponges which can actually contribute to cross-contamination by spreading germs from surface to surface. The fogging disinfectant does not need to be wiped off after treatment like traditional toxic disinfectants, as it safely breaks down.
The AG-800 and AG-1500 fog disinfection process involves fogging the entire space with the recommended FLD-05 disinfectant to provide proper disinfection of surface areas, touch-points, and equipment, which means it is highly effective for antiviral infection control in halls, homes, businesses, and sensitive spaces such as hospitals and healthcare locations, retail showrooms, waiting rooms, rest homes, trains and carriages and reception areas etc.
We’re proud to offer a product that promotes peace of mind once people return to work during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The AG-800 and 1500 fog treatment kills most fungi, germs, viruses, dust mites and will get rid of odours effectively.
Note: It is tested and proven effective against the influenza virus and general pneumonia, and is listed on the US EPA website as effective against SARS-CoV-2. It has not been tested specifically against the COVID-19 coronavirus as samples are not currently available, and the labs are all busy right now.
What is the active ingredient in FLD for sterilisation?
Umbelliferol, which is an effective antibacterial agent, is also a great steriliser and kills a variety of bacteria, yeast, fungi and viruses. It can also inhibit oxidation. The Antiviral agent is Thymol and is listed on the EPA website as meeting their criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Is the disinfection ingredient harmful to humans?
Umbelliferol is safe, the ratio of disinfection ingredients used is within the guidelines set by the Taiwan Ministry of Health and Welfare.
How does the FLD05 Disinfectant work against a virus?
The FLD05 disinfectant works by denaturing the virus’ proteins, which makes it incapable of binding to human cells.
Is it safe for the environment? What is the fragrance of FLD05?
It is made of all natural ingredients and is safe for the environment as well as for people. FLD05 has a menthol and fruity fragrance.
How long can FLD05 be stored?
FLD05 has a shelf life of 5 years and should be stored in a cool area out of direct sunlight. Once opened, it should be used within 6 months.
How much smoke is required and how long does it take?
The AG-800 can produce one cubic mtr of smoke in about 2 seconds, or 1000 cu ft in under 1 minute. You can cover a normal 240 cu mtr classroom in about 10~12 minutes, or if disinfecting a car, turn the air conditioner to recycle and use for 30 seconds at a time.
After the smoke is sprayed, allow 5 to 10 minutes for the smoke to circulate and cover the space in order to disinfect.
The AG-1500 is expected to produce around 20,000 cubic meters of fog per minute (still in development – Expected June 2020).
How long does the effect last?
This depends on the environmental conditions, such as ventilation and number of human movements.
For example, disinfection in a car for personal use can be effective for 2 weeks, however a car used frequently for business should be disinfected each day.
In general the more occupied a location is, the more frequently it should be disinfected.
Note: The machine itself has no sterilisation function, it is the FLD-05 liquid that provides the sterilisation. The sterilisation provided by these “vaporisation” smoke machines is completely different from ozone machines or air cleaners.
