Add a cordless lapel microphone setup to your Expedition XP310w or XP312w PA system with the Samson Concert 88a Wireless Lavalier Microphone System. Ideal for presenters, instructors, and guest speakers, this system features a bodypack transmitter, an LM8 lavalier mic, and a receiver module that easily installs in the back of your Expedition PA speaker.

With up to 100 available frequencies and simple syncing via IR, you can quickly get started and find a strong channel. Two AA batteries (available separately) will power the transmitter for up to eight hours, and the transmitter’s power switch doubles as a handy mute function. If you move beyond the system’s 100′ line-of-sight operating range, the integrated tone key mitigates undesired signal transmission.

Easy Setup

The Concert 88a system is designed for easy setup. Simply slide the receiver module into the open receiver slot on the back of your Expedition XP310w or XP312w, then power on the PA and bodypack transmitter, and sync the receiver and transmitter.

As a frequency-agile wireless system, the Concert 88a offers up to 100 frequency presets to help you achieve reliable signal transmission. By operating from 470 to 494 MHz in the UHF spectrum, it avoids interference from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals.

Bodypack Transmitter with Lavalier Microphone

The CB88 bodypack transmitter connects to the included LM8 lavalier condenser microphone, which features an omnidirectional polar pattern to allow consistent sound pickup even as the subject turns their head.

Two AA batteries can power the transmitter for up to eight hours of operating time. Use the power switch to mute the mic between performances or turn it off for battery conservation.

Beneath the battery cover, you’ll find a plastic screwdriver for adjusting the transmitter’s input sensitivity. Generally avoid the maximum gain setting as it can cause distortion when the mic is used on loud sources.

Receiver Module

The receiver module is powered through its connection to your Expedition PA speaker, so it requires no batteries or power cables. Its backlit LCD screen shows vital information including the selected channel and frequency as well as AF and RF levels. Press the up/down buttons to choose a channel, then use the set button to sync the transmitter to the same channel.
